This chart depicts Utah crude oil production by year from 1981 through 2017 in thousand barrels per day.

The chart on the crude oil production of Utah looks like a mirror image. In 1985, crude production was 112 thousand barrels per day, but started a downward trajectory each year until production bottomed out in 2003, when production averaged only 36 thousand barrels per day.

After bottoming out in 2003, Utah’s production climbed each year at about the same rate of its decline, until it peaked again at 112 thousand barrels per day in 2014.
