US Crude Oil Exports by Year Chart from 2001 Through 2017

The chart above depicts U.S. crude oil exports by year in thousand barrels from 2001 through 2017.

Since the lifting of the crude oil export ban in December of 2015, U.S. crude oil exports have reached record highs in the past two years. Exports reached 216,274 thousand barrels in 2016 and exports in 2017 reached a whopping 407,989 thousand barrels.

According to the EIA, the U.S. crude oil production forecast is expected to reach a record high in 2018. As a result, U.S. crude oil exports are also expected to reach a record high in 2018.
